Drawing Workshop

Join fine artist, Behzad Alipour, during a four (4) day workshop to study the drawing fundamentals.

The learning outcome will play a vital role in establishing a successful artwork, regardless of the medium.

I will be sharing my personal experiences and learnings that I have accumulated by closely observing the method of old and contemporary masters.

This workshop will provide a positive environment for like-minded artists to socialise and inspire one another.

During these four (4) sessions, I will discuss:

  • Muscle memory, loosening up and getting comfortable with drawing

  • Practical skills to create an accurate drawing

  • Simplifying a 3D form (i.e. an object) on a 2D surface (i.e. paper)

  • Line Drawing and Mass Drawing

  • Line properties, rhythm, values, shadow/light shapes, etc.

  • Drawing as a basis/preparation for oil painting

This workshop suits beginner to intermediate levels; however, all skill levels are welcome!

The students will study drawing from photographs.

If you are interested in drawing from life (still life), please indicate in the registration form.

The students will receive instruction and critiques on an individual basis.
